My New Cupcake Blog!!!!

Hey all, just wanted to let ya'll know that I got inspired today in class about starting a cupcake blog. Honestly, I am truly obsessed with cupcakes and will mostly be eating them myself. I hope everyone continues to follow and makes them too!! I will try my best to post a new cupcake recipe every Friday Enjoy!!

What's been going on in my life????

Hey all, sorry it's been a while. So next week is my last week of school :). I am so happy because I will finally be in my last semester!!! Also, Craig just finished his oral board exams and passed. I am so proud of his hard work and dedication. Most importantly, his time away from me. On Monday, Craig took me to eat at RA sushi and I felt pretty generous and gave a homeless man a full whopping $5!!! It might have just been the alcohol in my system. Now, Craig and I can finally rekindle our relationship that has been on hold for about 2months. Tonight we are going to see Tangled. I usually don't see the new Disney movies unless it catches my intention, and this one sure got it. I thought the previews were hilarious. On another note, I am super sad because my beautiful little Sophie destroyed one of my favorite shoes :(. I wanted to strangle her but gave in to her sweetness. I'm such a sucker. Oh and the most important thing I forgot to mention, my birthday is on Monday. Yup I'm officially turnin 24yrs old. My step mom says that she is going to send me my medicare papers. No plans for my birthday yet, just want to get through finals. Another thing that I wanted to mention was renewed obsession for Hanson. Yup, the little 3 blonde boys that sang "mmmbop". They are all grown up and have kids but their music is still unbelievable. Love those guys.

A new sheriff in town!!!!

Hey all, so I'm sure you have heard from my facebook already that Craig and I decided to get another german shepherd puppy. This one is a girl and she was born on July 11. I just have a couple of things to say about her. Yes, she is adorable but....... she is a little monster!!! So far she has destroyed two lamps, a pillow, and soo many other things that I can't even remember!!! In addition to tropical storm Sophie, she has completely dominated Lex. Even though Lex is soo much bigger, she bosses him around and fights back!!! don't let her size fool you. So some positive things that I have to say about her is that she is definitely a girly girl lol. She looks like a little princess and thinks she is one too. She is really soft and fuzzy. Hopefully her bad habbits will get better with time. And of course, another reminder 1 more month till my 24th b-day and to fly back home and see family!! Sooo excited!!

Almost done!!

Hey all,
Just a quick update on what's going on in my life right now. So i'm soo excited to go into my last semester! I can't believe this semester is only a month from being over already!! On another note, Craig finally got a job. I'm soo happy for him. Most of all, i'm glad we don't have to be apart :). I can't wait for the both of us to graduate and move on with our lives together.

We plan on renting in the same apartment building that he currently lives in but this time we are going to upgrade to a 2/2 with a fenced in yard! At that time hopefully we can get another puppy :)

Just an update

Soo, here I am in class totally having ADD. I have two exams next week and have been more tired than ever. I can't believe that we only have about a month left in this semester then it's time to start planning for graduation!! Also, speaking of graduation, I am planning this huge graduation party for Craig. I'm soo proud of him, he has come so far and he made it.

The both of us have also been really sick. I can't stop coughing and in the middle of an exam I had to walk out to have a coughing attack!! Incredible!!

One thing that I am defenitly looking foward to is December. Not only is it my birthday, but Craig and I are going to visit my mom and his family. I hate being here in Miami. I love it up north. That is my happy place and I can't wait for us to finish and move back up north.

On another note, i'm trying to get back in shape. Believe it or not I have gain 10lbs in the last couple of months and I like to stay between a range to be and feel healthy. So yesterday was my first day of walking/jogging and now that I told you all about it, I have to keep it up! Thanks for reading!

It's been a while

Hey Everyone,
Sorry I've been so MIA. There is a lot to catch up on. So I made it through my OB/Peds rotation and now I am in my Psych rotation. Almost done with nursing school!!!! Only one more semester to go :). So I recently went to my first Ohio State game!! Guess who it was against? None other than the U! After that experience I am officially a buckeye in training!!
I am also excited because my boyfriend is about the graduate!! Congrats to my lover!!On another note, my puppy lex has gotten sooo big! Craig and I do plan to get another German Shepherd dog once we graduate. Unfortunately, my mom is going a hard time right now and cannot keep her beautiful German shepherd dog! So.... I think ya'll know where this is going.... but yes, I want to keep her!! I am so excited for them to be brother and sister and have the best life ever!!

My new puppy

So... I got a beautiful new puppy. He is a German Shepherd and he was born on March 22, 2010. I have only had him for about a week, but man is it a lot of work. Don't get me wrong i enjoy playing and spending time with him, it's just the bathroom issue in this stupid high rise apartment. I can't wait for Craig to get out of here. All people care about is stupid little toy dogs that are probably meaner than large dogs.
Any way, if anyone has any advice about how to train him please let me know. That's all i really have to say for now because I am exhausted. Au revoir.

politics

So one thing that I am extremely passionate about is politics. I know most of my friends may not agree with me but I am really worried for our countries future. According to blogherald.com,"The Obama administration has announced plans to regulate the Internet through the Federal Communications Commission. Apparently the US government thinks bloggers & Ipods are becoming a public hazard, and like a few other industries need to be regulated by the government.This law would probably extend to Twitter as well, not to mention Facebook too!"
Are you kidding me? Can Socialism/Communism be anymore clear??? I'd rather die then have my freedom of... speech taken away, and before they do take over i'll say it now F@*% OBAMA!! Some people can say no Socialism will never happen to our country, well time to wake up and smell the scent of getting F@#$ed. Almost, if not already, every other country is socialist. The same thing happened to Cuba and now it's going to happen to us. Government controls our lives and now the worst of it freedom of speech is being controlled now. This just makes me sick! I absolutely refuse to bring a child into this world as long as this asshole is in control! I will teach my child the correct and loving way to be brought up with honesty, believing in god, and knowing what it is like to work hard for something in life.

Another year

Wow! Finally made it to 5th semester!! Babies Babies Babies!! Not sure exactly how I feel about it but I have mixed feelings about my OB class. The first week the professor seemed really cool. I couldn't stop laughing in class. But I feel like it's a lot harder than everyone thinks. I'm so over school and can't wait to finish next may! Yea, exactly and long year left. Geez...could it go by any painful and slower?

On another note I am very happy because it is the time of year that Craig an I met. Exactly one year ago, I was peeping through the crowd and tobacco Road just to see if he was looking at me, and little did i know, he noticed!!! Wow, embarrassing. But here we are one year later more in love than ever! I couldn't be happier to have met my best friend on this very day. I love you baby!

WoW!!! What a semester!

So I can't believe my semester is finally over!! I'm sooo happy. Even though I am currently running on one hour sleep in the past two days, I still managed to stay awake and enjoy the rest of my day. Also, i'm so excited for Earth Day!! I must admit that even though I am not the greenest person myself, I am COMPLETELY in love with our universe, especially our one and only planet Earth. I honestly can sit in front of the TV for hours watching the science channel. I also receive this monthly magazine called Scientific American. It's great! Some girls have Cosmo, I have science =).
Anyhow, back to my school talk, I really hope I passed my finals =/. Can you believe my teacher still hasn't put the grades up? I tell ya, the nerve. Now that school is done and I have a solid break, I would like to get my health back and work out and eat healthier. Nursing school destroys your health. I'm still recovering from a 3 day fever that is totally Idiopathic. Well, gots to go because my eyes are crossing and I can no longer function. Thanks for reading and Happy Earth Day!!!

Can't sleep!!

So it's about one in the morning on a school night and I can't sleep, so I'll write instead.
Lately, I've been really wanting to start getting some old hobbies back. It seems like nursing school has taken away every thought of social life and being healthy. I've really been trying to eat healthier and start working out. Today was day 1 of working out and eating healthy. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with it.
I can't wait to finish school. Well, I am actually kinda hoping to even pass next semester before thinking about finishing. Next semester is the hardest semester at Nova, but we'll see.
So, instead of just letting myself get lost into school, I've been trying to keep myself busy and somewhat fit by belly dancing. It is such a beautiful art. I fell in love with belly dancing the moment I started. I've been dancing for about a year now and hopefully when I'm done with school I will be able to continue. But for now, it's time to sleep and wake up for school =o(. Yuck!!!!

Hospitalized!!!

So it's official everyone!! It's a girl!!! No, I'm just kidding. So I'm in the hospital because i have an obstructed kidney stone! It totally sucks being stuck here in this stupid hospital. Thank god I have my class mates to take care of me and the best boyfriend in the whole entire world by my side.
This just really sucks because it's the first day of my spring break and i have to spend it here in the hospital :( Well ohio state plays tonite in the bracket! Hopefully they will win!

What a weekend!

Wow, all I can say was that this weekend was amazing. It was the best weekend that I've had in a long time. On Friday, we went to Aerobar in South Beach and stayed at the Chelsea Hotel for Kati's birthday. We had a lot of fun! Then after a full night of drinking, we had to wake up early to head over to Craig's surprise birthday beach bash! It was a great time with all of our closest friends. My step mom made a OSU helmet chocolate penut butter cake!!It was so yummy.

So, today is a full day of recovering and studying for my test on Wednesday! This is the last test before my spring break! But as of right now, i'm eating an egg sandwich and drinking mimosa's with the love of my life. Happy Birthday baby!!!!

Been busy lately........

Hey all,
Sorry I haven't written in a while. I've just been sooo busy lately. These past couple of weeks I have had two exams and now I have another one on Wednesday for Pharm II. This semester so far, I got off on a bad start and didn't get the grades that I wanted, but I made up for it on the second test and now I have to do the same for the third. Yikes!! I'm really worried about next semester, I really don't want to fail. For those of you who don't know about the notorious fifth semester it's hell. It is one of the most dreaded semester in the Nova Nursing program. This teacher is impossible. But, I guess I'll see when I get there and if I get there :(.
I'm really excited for Craig's birthday coming up this month!! This will be the first time we spend his birthday together :). I can't really say what we will do becuase unfortunately he is on call that weekend. Craig has started a tough rotation in a crappy hospital that he has to drive like an hour and a half away from his house. But he is almost graduating so... Yayyyy. This weekend we had dinner with our friends that just graduated from his same program. She made a delicious dinner! It was sooo amazing. Chicken Parmesian, ceaser salad, balsamic vinegar with olive oil and bread, and yes an entire bottle of wine just for us two girls. SLURRRPP! Looking foward to another great weekend!

My Valentines Day!

My Valentines day was amazing. It was my first valentines day with Craig and I must say it was the best ever!! He is such a gentleman. He made dinner reservations at Steak 954 in the W hotel. I had never been there before and those of you who aren't familiar with the W hotel, it is the hotel that the Kardashian's always partied at while they were filming in Miami. Not to mention the restaruant had a jelly fish tank. It was so beautiful. Craig says that he wants one in his man cave one day! I can honestly say that I am so thankful for Craig. He is my best friend and my soulmate and I don't know what I would do without him. For valentines day, not only did he give me an amazing dinner, but he also got me tickets to go see the play "Wicked" and my favorite flowers, orchids.

Now, after all the hard work to loose a couple of pounds gained during Thanksgiving and Christmas, it's time to devour some valentines day chocolates. One thing that really bugs me on valentines day is when people don't celebrate it. I know it's not a big deal and you don't have to go all out or antyhing. But sometimes people forget about eachothers love. We are so caught up in everyday tasks and work and school blah blah blah, that we forget to take a day to celebrate "us". At the end of the day, the person you go home to, the person that you vent to, and and the person you confide in deserves a little extra something on this speacial day, even if it's just snuggling under the covers and watching movies. We should never take anyone for granted, becuase you never know when you will never see them again. I have learned this through a near death experience and now I live everyday as if it was my last. So even if you don't celebrate valentines day, have some consideration for your partners feelings and give them a little something that they deserve :)

My February Resolution

I know most people usually have a New Years Resolution, but I think I want to kind of start mine in February. I can honestly say that there are a lot of things I need to work on about myself. Sometimes I can be a little too emotional on certain things. Another area that I would like to work on is overthinking. I always tend to over think in every single situation. For example, when it comes to first impressions. I always try to worry about whether I fit in or not. I am an extremely caring and giving person and it truly comes from my heart. Another area that I would like to fix is holding grudges. Maybe it's just me being a female, but for some reason I always do but not in a bad way.

Starting now, I would like to dedicate more time to studying. For the people who know me well, it seems like I always study, but I can honestly say that for nursing school a lot is not enough. my goal is to be above average. I would also like to travel more. I would like to dedicate more time to not being so caught up in who did what and when and school, school, school. I need to really take sometime to enjoy my second chance at life. I'd like to see my mom, brother, sister, and Craig's family more often. It's important to me to bond with his family too being that they will be my family also one day. It just seems that in living long distance it's impossible to establish a familyship ( Christy dictionary). Oh and one more thing, I need to learn how to spell!!!! So here I go back to the busy life again. I just wanted to take a few minutes out of my day to write :o) Have a wonderful Day!

Rats!!!!!

I know this is kind of a random blog, but I would like to dedicate this blog to my pet rat whiskers. Yes, I have a pet rat. The purpose of this blog is to let people know what such good pets rats are. No not just any rat. Not the ones on the street. A pet rat that you can find at a local pet store. The reason why I even considered a pet rat was because for two years I have been working with lab rats and doing research studies on their response to things. After handling them everyday for 2 years I completely fell in love with these animals. They are such smart, intelligent, and docile little creatures.
Let me give you an example, when I get home from work everyday, whiskers always knows when her mom is home, she runs to the window of the cage and puts her two little paws on the window and gives me that sad look. Just like a puppy in a puppy store or a baby waiting to be carried. Once she suckers me into carrying her, she sits comfortably in my arm or on my shoulder. I can be studying or watching TV and she will just sit calmly in my lap, and yes she even gives me kisses. She is so smart that when her water bottle runs out of water she will knock it down to tell me to refill it!!! When her bedding needs to be changed she will pile it up in a corner. They are such clean animals. No one would believe.
I really want to change peoples views and disgust towards rats. Research has shown that they are more similar to human beings than anything. That is why they always do research on them. They experience fear, love, affection, and they even know when they are spoiled. Some reaserch has even shown that they can take tests!! No not written. But next time you come across a domesticated rat, Please think twice about saying ewww or yuck. They are just like dogs. You can train them and they even respond to their name! Chili cook off

So tomorrow I am going to first ever chili cook off. I'm not sure exactly what expect but I am sure it will be a good time. Of course, as always, I am going with the group, Dom, Kati, and Craig. Craig's parents are actually in town visiting and the will be joining us. They are such nice people. Last night we went to dinner at Texas De Brazil with my parents. I was honestly really nervous and didn't know what to expect being that my parents are completely different from the Luehrs. But in the end it actually turned out very well. So well in fact that they were sooooo deep into their own conversation that when i would speak no one would listen!! I honestly think this is a good sign that Craig's and my family will get along very well no matter about the culture difference. I am sooo happy. He is the love of my life and I am so thankful for him. He brings out the best in me. So back to this chili cook off thing, if any one has any comments as to what I can expect or what to wear please leave me a comment :).
So another exciting thing happened to me a couple of days ago. I gained a new friendship with someone who i thought disliked me. It meant a lot to Craig and I. I made the effort to reach out and bring up the topic about a misunderstanding that we had. It just always felt uncomfortable to hang around that person becuase i always felt ostracized. So i would always run and hide. But in summary, I'm glad I approached the situation and all misunderstandings are cleared up. I can finally add a new friend to my list in this book called life.

My new hobby

So this is my first official blog ever. I have been kind of searching for a new hobby and saw one of my friends blog pages and got inspired to create my own. In nursing school it is extremely hard to have any hobby at all. I find it so hard to even have the time to communicate with friends and family. So this is another reason why I wanted to create a blog. Also, just recently I met my boyfriends family and thought that they were so amazing and made me feel very welcomed. Being the new girl in the group this can be very intimidating and I honestly didn't know what to expect when meeting them, but I was so happy I did. I am so in love with Craig and I am very determined to get to know and bond with his friends and family. In planning a future together, hopefully one day I can call them my family as well. So I guess I can say that this blog is also for them to get to know me as well.

I used to have many hobbies such as playing volleyball, soccer, softball, and golf. Unfortunately, in 2005, I was in a horrible car accident that left me unable to play sports. So, I decided to pick up a couple of new ones! Another one of my hobbies is to belly dance. I love belly dancing and I'm currently taking classes here in Miami, Fl. I'm so excited to keep everyone updated on my life but for now, I have homework to do. :)
